All dogs and cats are legally required to be microchipped by the time they are 12 weeks old, and registered with your council by the time they are 6 months old.
It is a simple procedure which can save your pet’s life, and ensure they are returned to you if they are ever lost. When a lost pet is found, the microchip can be scanned by your vet or council ranger, who is then able to retrieve your contact details. Pets without microchips, or out-of-date information, often end up being euthanised because their owner cannot be found.
If you pet is not microchipped or your details are out of date, please contact us to make an appointment.
