Our experienced team of veterinarians is led by Dr David Croft, who with Dr Linda Gregory, Dr Rebecca Beaumont and Dr Dhurka Nirthanakumaran offer a comprehensive range of medical and surgical treatment options.
This includes routine veterinary care, including consultations, vaccinations, surgery, and dentistry.
Our veterinary and nursing teams regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars to ensure your pets are receiving the best and latest treatments available.
We have fully-equipped consulting rooms and surgery, in-house laboratory, digital radiology and ultrasound equipment.
There is a convenient carpark onsite for our clients. Cats board happily in air-conditioned comfort in our cattery, with our two resident rescue cats to keep an eye on things. All our team love animals and have multiple pets, often from rescue backgrounds.
David graduated in 1984 from Sydney University. He has worked in small animal practice for over 25 years, and has a particular interest in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, dermatology and internal medicine. He is also an accredited AQIS Companion Animal Export Vet.
Linda has been part of the West Ryde Vet team since 1994. She is particularly interested in animal behavioral problems and feline medicine. She also runs our popular puppy school classes on Saturdays.
Rebecca graduated from Sydney University in 2014, and joined the West Ryde Vet team after spending a year working in Lithgow. She has cats, enjoys weekends spent with her horse Moet, and has a particular interest in soft-tissue surgery.
Dhurka joined the West Ryde Vet team after graduating from Sydney University in 2016, with a particular interest in canine medicine. She enjoys spending time with Toca, her Jack Russell Terrier and Simba, her ginger cat. Dhurka is an avid follower of the Australian cricket team and St Kilda football club.
Claire graduated from Sydney University in 2014, and has a particular interest in small animal dentistry and wildlife medicine. She joined the West Ryde Vet team after working for 2 years at another small animal clinic. She enjoys long walks on the beach with the love her life, Cookie, her Chihuahua.
Cannon graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh in 2014. After a short time in small animal general practice, he completed a one year surgical intership at a referral practice in Aberdeen. He has a keen interest in small animal surgery and diagnostic imaging. In his spare time, Cannon enjoys hill walking with his dog, Manuka.
Ada is in the later stage of her Veterinary Nursing Course. She has a very spoilt cat named Oliver and enjoys photography, hiking, and badminton in her spare time. She is also fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
Megan McFarlane is our experienced pet groomer, available by appointment on Thursdays and Fridays. Her services include hydrobaths, clipping, and grooming for both dogs and cats.
Holly is currently studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology at Sydney University. She hopes to become a vet by undertaking further studies and a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
Javiera has completed her Cert II in Animal Studies, and is currently studying Veterinary Nursing. She enjoys baking and taking her two English Cocker Spaniels, Oliver and Jeremy, to the beach.
Studying at USYD, Pamela has a strong passion for animals and a love of science, which she one day hopes to be able to combine. She'll never pass up a weekend to lounge around with her beloved cat and dog - Oscar and Puppet.
